So, I was thinking about doing a Champions League final preview over here, and then I realized I'd already done one. Being Sven rounded up some of the best Liverpool bloggers around (and me) to give their thoughts on the season and the upcoming final.
You can read the whole thing here -- I was especially interested to see how much agreement there was between us about some things. Anyway, it's a good read, and it was a lot of fun to do, so y'all should check it out!
And since we're previewing coming attractions here, stay tuned for the second annual end-of-season awards. I'm particularly excited for these; we've introduced a new "Clusterfuck of the Year" award, and that's about the tightest race I have ever seen.

Hello Amanda,
I know that this is a little off topic but I don't have any friends that could possibly answer this intelligently.
In the latest ESPN the magazine Crouch was called the "greatest footballer never to win the big one". While this is definitely a ploy big the Magazine to get attention for the CL final, how could they as the "Worldwide Leader in Sports" allow such a statement to be printed? Even as a Crouch fan, I find this to be obscene.
I guess the questions that come from ad are: (1)is the CL the only "big one" title, (2) is Crouch that much better than say Owen and (3) who should rightfully have this title?
Cheers,
Alex

Hm. The other "big ones" are probably the league title and the World Cup final (neither of which Crouch has won, either). I don't think Crouch is better than Owen, really -- their skills are incredibly different. Owen's a lot more like a traditional striker, tending to use pace and skill more than height; Crouch is obviously a lot stronger in the air, and he's kind of an entity into himself, because he has that along with solid ball skills, but not a ton of pace.
As far as who should rightfully have the title, oh god, I have no idea. The Champions League has been in existence for 50 years, and I've only been a fan for, like, five.
